I was distracted by various things and forgot all about it till this morning - it is significantly darker, though I haven't rinsed it yet.jane dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01206409451094153462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6266388920813232236.post-68075993056744925672011-06-01T10:44:33.593+01:002011-06-01T10:44:33.593+01:00Well done... This vat is also slightly different in that the colour of the vat is different , the smell certainly is! Yesterday I dyed wool in the last of the vat and it came out an extraordinary green colour which has not changed. I have got a slightly deeper blue on the cotton velvet I dyed but otherwise the colour is s light bright blue. I will be interested to see how you get on. Don't forget it is essential to use calcium hydroxide Michael Garcia said it was the only alkali that was active enough. However some experiments to test that would interesting.Helenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05597640040480685246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6266388920813232236.post-7612583773030579672011-06-01T06:20:17.222+01:002011-06-01T06:20:17.222+01:00I'm so glad you succeeded! I have now fructose, so we'll see how this works for me in a few days:)<br />Thanks Helen.Leenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14266878515009058403noreply@blogger.com
